“Someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there.” – Taylor Swift
At the 2016 Grammy Awards Taylor Swift gave an inspirational speech after she became the first woman in history to win Album of the Year twice. Part of the reason for the speech was to cast shade at Kanye West who implied that she owed her success to him in a recent song lyric. But I think the other part was to truly inspire her legions of female fans who have been with her since day one.
We may not all be Grammy award-winning musicians, but as bloggers we are all forging our own path. Websites, coaches, and mentors can provide tips and tricks that may make you more successful or lead you to think about things differently, but ultimately you’re the one leading your journey. When you get where you want to be, do exactly as Taylor recommends and look around and bask in the fact that you achieved your successes because of your own hard work and sacrifices. There’s no feeling like it.
